Northwestern University conducted a randomized control trial to evaluate the efficacy of Tess in reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety felt by university students. The study included students from 15 universities across the United States. Results revealed that participants who interacted with our mental health chatbot for 2-4 weeks experienced a reduction in symptoms of depression by 13% (measured by PHQ-9) and anxiety by 18% (measured by GAD-7), when compared to the control group.
