Welcome! My name is Maricarmen (Maria) Clapp. I am glad to see that you decided to take time for yourself and look into what is bothering you right now. We all need some support, guidance, and an honest ear from time to time to get us back on track. I am here to help you do that.
I am a licensed mental health counselor, certified addictions counselor, and certified school counselor (K-12). I have over 20 years of experience assisting youth and families, adults, and older adults in dealing with negative emotions and behaviors that lead to not feeling good about oneself, misusing medication, or abuse alcohol and other drugs.
My primary focus is connecting with you and establish a trusting and honest relationship, not so much on the specific labels or diagnoses. I practice a holistic approach, looking at several aspects of your life that may be misaligned, and thus may be causing you stress. I follow a solution-focused approach, based on cognitive-behavioral strategies, and supported by a client-centered framework. I work with youth (13 and up) as well as adults (18 and up), and older adults (70 and up).
I have experience assessing and providing psychoeducational programs in parenting and anger management, as well as counseling to individuals dealing with legal issues including domestic violence, anger management, DUI, or other misdemeanor charges that have been court-ordered to complete mental health services. I also have experience assisting youth in the spectrum who have social difficulties at school and with peers.
I hold a bachelor's in Psychology, a master's in Mental Health Counseling, and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. I believe that all of us are leaders in some capacity in our lives. Feeling empowered and in charge of your life often leads to a more positive and productive life for yourself and for others around you.

My mission is to assist you to explore and discover your own answers from within, and to remember, recover and honor your true, authentic self so you can live life with greater ease and abundant joy.

Hello,
I am Peggy Ann Serena Hemmer. I prefer to go by Serena. I have been providing clinically sound, creative, holistic counseling for children ages 3 and up, adults, couples and families since 2004. Prior to my clinical work, I spent 10 years at the county and state departments of mental health and substance abuse.
Having studied and practiced many holistic approaches to health and well-being, as well as a variety of life philosophies, my approach to therapy is from a holistic perspective, taking into consideration the relationship between mind, body, and spirit. Knowing youth express themselves through art, and play, I weave Expressive Arts modalities into sessions with youth and their families. I was provided an opportunity to establish an Expressive Arts Clinical Program at a behavioral health residential center for youth. Certified in Rational Hypnotherapy, I am able to guide clients to relief from anxiety, phobias, and addictions.
I graduated Summa cum Laude from Capital University with a Bachelor of Social Work degree and received a Master of Social Work degree, from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. In Florida, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Certifications in Rational Hypnotherapy, Gottman Couple's Counseling, and Spiritual Life Coaching. As an ordained metaphysical, New Thought minister and certified Spiritual Life Coach I assist clients, who are seeking, to explore and expand their values, spirituality, and faith.
I bring my education, experience, and intuition to my practice and particularly my creativity in my work with adolescents and adults. Having provided counseling for people of all ages, from all backgrounds and socio-economic levels in residential treatment centers and private practice, I have acquired a broad awareness of the variety of challenges many people face and have witnessed the intrinsic ability we each have to overcome those challenges and to thrive.
Originally, I founded my private practice in 2006 in Worthington, Ohio, and later moved it to Westerville, Ohio. Because I incorporate my background and experience in dance, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, drama, visual arts, and pottery, I was sought after to provide therapy for children as well as adults and couples. Along with my formal education and experience, I am certified in many holistic approaches. I am a Reiki Master Teacher, an Advanced Theta Healing practitioner, an Access Bars Practitioner and taught Qi Gong and Tai Chi for the State of Ohio Employees. Currently, my practice is located in sunny Saint Petersburg, Florida.
During my career, I have developed and presented a variety of workshops for families and providers. Including:

My name is Jenny Ortega, and I was born in Havana, Cuba. I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I enjoy working with individuals from all cultures. I am an LCSW in the state of Florida. I graduated from Saint Leo University in 2016 with a Master's in Social Work -Advanced Clinical Concentration. My training and background have provided me with the skills to work in many different settings with a diverse clientele. In addition to providing counseling and education for stress management and anxiety relief, I am experienced in working with those suffering from depression and other mood disorders. I have worked with vulnerable populations such as older adults, children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, survivors of physical and sexual abuse, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I have a passion for working with women and children who have experienced trauma, and I am able to build trust while being sensitive to their special needs. I am mostly trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Client Centered, and Solution Focused Therapy, though I like to draw from multiple approaches and employ an eclectic style in therapy. My combined set of skills afford me the ability to treat in a holistic manner. I consistently add to my knowledge base by researching and attending educational training to enhance my professional skills. I will meet you where you are and provide support through whichever means you are most comfortable with, whether video, talk, or text. I hope to teach you skills that will make your life a bit easier. It is a privilege and an honor to join you on this journey to a healthier you!
